This tour takes place every day and was specially developed for hotel guests on the holiday Island of Koh Samui in Thailand. Unfortunately, there is no availability for Cruise Ship Passengers! Click! As usual, free places are available as long as you can select your desired date!

What to expect
Pick-up 07:00-08:00
Depending on your location, we will pick you up in an air-conditioned minibus and then guide you to the pier of departure (Nathon), in the west of Koh Samui. Step by step, all other participants are collected during the transfer.
Boat Trip
A light breakfast is served onboard the ship during the crossing to the Angthong Marine Park. The ship leaves around 8:30 a.m. and arrives at Mae Koh island after an interesting 90-minute boat trip. Here you can walk on permanently installed wooden hiking trails to visit the emerald green lagoon or *optional for a fee explore the stunning coastlines by kayak. Choose your kayaking option while booking!
Lunch
Meanwhile, the generous freshly cooked buffet-style lunch (3 dishes) with fresh and seasonal salad and fruits is served for you on board. Vegetarian food is available as well. You can enjoy the breathtaking view of the beauty of the marine park with its 42 island groups and the azure sea in different colors. Now you will have enough time to dine in this fantastic atmosphere.
Koh Wua Talap
At the island Wua Ta Lap you can either climb to the most breathtaking viewpoint in the Gulf of Thailand, snorkel in front of the island (including snorkel equipment), visit the Lotus Cave (Bua Boke) with beautiful stalagmite & stalactite formations, or simply relax on the white sandy beach. We will stay here for approximately 2 hours.
Camping
The boat will leave from here without you, but on the next day around 2:30 p.m. they will come to collect you at the same point where they drop you off for staying overnight. At the headquarters of the park, you have different choices for accommodation facilities like bungalows (with beddings and mosquito net on the windows) or camping sites (they can provide tent; torch, sleeping bag, mosquito net, ect. - not included!) where you prefer to stay in overnight. There is also a restaurant/shop (open daily from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.). Please note: If you book the accommodation in advance with us, there will be no refund from the Marine Park Office and in case of a cancellation you have to pay the full amount for the accommodation!
Back to Samui
Around 3:00 p.m. at the next day Angthong Camping Guide! Click!, we will start to return the way back to the starting point on Koh Samui (Nathon). On deck, you get served coffee or tea. If the sea is calm, we should arrive there around 5:00 p.m. Find a comfortable place on the spacious ship with a large sun deck and enjoy the great impressions, the unique nature, and the generally breathtaking view of the Gulf of Thailand.
Drop-off 17:00-18:00
We will pick you up in an air-conditioned minibus from the pier of arrival (Nathon) and then guide you back to the accommodation you have deposited. Step by step, all other participants will be dropped off during the return transfer.
Your pick-up time
Please follow our Angthong Camping Guide! Click! You will receive a booking confirmation as well as another email, including your final pick-up time, until 18:00 the day before your selected tour date! Please check the given information and show the email to the driver waiting for you at the general car park of your accommodation! If you have booked for tomorrow after 17:30, then you will receive your pick up time until 21:00!
More Information
What to bring??!
- We recommend bringing your own: Towel, Swim wears, Sun cream, Sunglasses, Hat, Flip Flops, Sturdy Shoes for the ascent to the viewpoint on Koh Wua Talap and something to take photos.
- Pregnant women and infants under 1 year are not allowed.
- If you book the accommodation in advance with us, there will be no refund from the Marine Park Office and in case of a cancellation you have to pay the full amount for the accommodation!
- There is a small restaurant/shop on Koh Wua Talap.
- Life jackets are on board for each participant.
- If the road to your accommodation is too steep or inaccessible, we will have to pick you up at a nearby alternative pick-up location, which you need to reach on your own. If this is the case, you will receive a Google Maps Link shortly after your booking!
- Depending on the weather and traffic conditions, the program can be adjusted.

Cancellation
You can cancel your order free of charge up to 24 hours before your selected tour date (ToS: § 3).
- For a free cancellation, you must cancel at least 24 hours before your tour date.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before your tour date, you must pay the full purchase amount.
- If you do not reach the meeting point in time, the local operator is entitled to full payment.
- Any changes made by yourself on your tour date can not be accepted free of charge.
- Cancellations due bad weather based only on responsibility by local authorities.
- Illness requires a medical certificate from a local hospital before tour start!
- Cut-off times by latest 23:59 two days before your tour date (GMT+7).

This tour is essentially same as the day trip but with an overnight stay, and the day trip boat takes you back the next day. The overnight stay is well worth doing if you like to slow down and experience a place without the tourist crowds. You get all the benefits of the main island Wua Ta Lap which has the famous viewpoint as well as a good cave hike but without the hoards of day trippers. You can also see sunset and sunrise from the beach, we were unlucky with overcast weather but can see it would be breathtaking on a clear day. Be aware that the viewpoint hike is steep and challenging, and the cave hike involves lots of climbing and scrambling over rocks - neither of these will be easy if you don’t have a base level of fitness.
All the elements of the day trip were good - ok breakfast, delicious lunch, fun kayaking.
Manage your expectations for the overnight stay: the bungalows are very rustic, there are insect screens on the doors and windows but they are poorly maintained so you will have insects in with you. The addition of mosquito nets over the bed would have made this much more comfortable. You don’t have electricity all night long so the fans don’t last and no AC.
Pleasantly surprised that the sole restaurant, although has a small menu, was reasonably priced. No alcohol on the island.
We did have a small hiccup that our accommodation booking had been put in the wrong name. It was resolved but had a small period of stress and made us realise the company we book through is not the company who provides any of the tour elements - they are simply an intermediary who book with other platforms on your behalf. The communication from them (Koh Samui tours) was good and generally good customer service so not necessarily a bad thing but you can definitely get this trip cheaper if you book the separate elements yourself - book a day trip, book the bungalow directly on the marine park’s website and then let your day trip provider you’re staying over and will need your return back to Koh Samui the following day. Since they bring day trippers every day there will be no issue arranging this.
Or if you just want it all sorted for you, book with these guys - but ask for the confirmation of accommodation booking so you can see what name it is in and have a smoother check in process than we did.
